This year’s art fair will take place on Friday, August 11th (3PM-7PM) and Saturday, August 12th (10AM – 6PM).

Eligibility

All work must be of original concept by the exhibitor and the artist must be present at the art fair. Mass produced, commercial or imported products, copies, kits, molded or prefabricated work will not be allowed.

Entry & Awards Application and Jury Process

All artists must submit an application and enclose four photos representing your art on a preferred storage device – e.g. jump drive or CD. In order to be eligible to win one of the awards listed below, artists and crafters are required to submit 4 images (by email or regular mail) representing the piece of art or craft that you want to be judged on to Ashley for the Arts (email: ashleyforthearts@ashleyfurniture.com or mail to: One Ashley Way / Arcadia, WI 54612) by June 15, 2017. Artists can also send printed 4″x6″ photos or a link to an online site. Images and storage devices will not be returned. Selection of work will be reviewed and judged by a panel of professionals. Selection is made based on originality, execution of design, technique and craftsmanship, creative use of materials, aesthetic qualities, and diversity of media within the Ashley for the Arts Event. Monetary awards will be distributed after the event. To be eligible for an award, you must participate in the event.

Awards

All participating artists will now be assigned to one of two categories (art or craft).

Awards will be distributed as follows:

Booth Space

  1. Artists will be allotted no less than a 10’x10′ area. Additional storage space will be available behind each booth.
  2. Artists must provide their own tents, lights, tables and displays. Tents can be of any color, although “white” is preferred.
  3. Artists will be assigned a space.
  4. White, black or brown shades of tablecloths are preferred.
  5. Please be aware that ground may be uneven.
  6. Security will oversee the grounds on Friday and Saturday. Although we are taking these precautionary steps, we will not be responsible for theft or damages.
  7. Booth Fee: $50

Art Exhibit Hours

  1. Art Exhibits are open to the public Friday from 3PM to 7PM and Saturday from 10AM to 6PM
  2. This is an all-weather event.
  3. All exhibitors must stay with each booth until the specified times.

Set Up/Take Down

  1. Set up booth times: Friday before 2:30PM and Saturday before 9:30AM.
  2. Take down booth times: Saturday after 6:00PM until Sunday before 11:00AM.
  3. Designated loading & unloading areas are available for each art exhibit section as defined on the event map. Be respectful to other artists and move your vehicle when you are finished using this area.
  4. Please notify us of all cancellations within 48 hours of the event.

Sales Tax

Each exhibitor is responsible for collecting sales tax.
